ENTREPRENEURIAL, RESOURCEFUL, ADVENTUROUS
What can be more rewarding, satisfying and challenging than educating your children at home? I know, because I've
been homeschooling for the last 15 years.
I have probably learned just as much as my children have, if not more! Along
the way, I have discovered some great ideas to make home education even more rewarding.
So, how do homeschooled kids compare to kids that go to public school? How do they do academically and socially? Are homeschooled kids weird? Check out this funny video made by a homeschooling family:
Even if you don't homeschool, don't have children, and are not computer-savvy, the tips and solutions I offer here will
benefit you. They will also help you if you own a business already or are just thinking of starting one, whether that
business is online or offline.
We all want our children to do well in school and succeed in life. We want to make sure our children learn
and master their school subjects.
We also want to build their character and teach them life skills. A great way to teach
these skills is through a home business.
WITH A WORK AT HOME OPPORTUNITY..........
You and your children will learn about business, finances, and enterprise. You can teach your children about the value of
hard work and about responsibility.
They can learn how to be confident, to take initiative and to be creative. A home-based business
can bring in extra income, help pay for college, or allow one or both parents to stay at home.
If you have been homeschooling already, you know that one of the joys of being able to stay at home is a less-stressful
lifestyle.
There is less rushing about and running around. Everyone gets plenty of sleep and there is time for
nutritious meals.
Families that educate at home have more flexibility with their schedules, are able to travel when it's convenient for them, and to do more things together. This
cultivates close, family relationships. In our family we really do enjoy each other's company!
You can teach to your child's level, abilities, pace, interests, gifts, and talents. Home education teaches students to be self-starters and independent learners.
Homeschooled kids excel in the areas of academics and socialization. Homeschooled kids make good citizens, they tend to be more involved in their communities, with volunteering, and government.
It will likely cost less to homeschool your children than sending them to public school, even if you purchase your own curriculum. My friends complain about all the supplies they need to supply for their children that the schools can't afford to buy. Then there's field trips, fundraising, and celebrations or holidays with costs for party supplies.
Another advantage to homeschool education is being able to incorporate learning while doing normal everyday activities and chores.
Arithmetic can be taught while cooking, science while working out in the yard, and inspiration for writing projects can come
from daily family interactions. A home business can fit right in!
How would you like to learn how to organize and streamline your daily activities so that you will have time for a
home-based business? I've used these methods successfully in my own homeschool.
